The Academy of Arts and Healing Ministry
The Academy of Arts & Healing program is designed to help people who are struggling to overcome painful losses, severe depression and the debilitating problems associated with PTSD. Our ministry was formed to assist people by facilitating art projects that tap into the healing power of love and faith, and the unique creative gifts that are stored within us.
The healing power of art is unmistakable and immeasurable. It's eternal. When you participate in creating beautiful things, you actually position yourself to tap into an eternal source of healing. Not only are you unlocking some of your greatest gifts, but expressing who you truly are.
Our motto is based on a Scripture in the Bible: God is love.
So, whatever you do, whatever you create, do it with love. We believe that, to be immersed in the spirit of love, and inspired by it, is to allow yourself to be filled with God's healing power.
Through our coaching sessions and artistic guidance, we help people tap into their inner brilliance, creative gifts, and the true source of healing. In simple terms, we're here to help people shine like the stars they were born to be!
THE SPIRIT IN YOU DESIRES AN AUDIENCE!
Enjoy a life coaching session that nurtures your inner spirit, helps you tap into the internal source of healing and celebrates your artistry. During the program, we take the image of your art piece and transform it into a keepsake which you can wear, decorate or use for potential income in our future store. It serves as a powerful reminder of the beauty and value that you bring to the world. It testifies to the amazing nature of God's love for you.
God is love . . . so whatever you do, whatever you create, do it with love!

Pamela Sherrod, Life Coach, Writer, Producer
It's easy for Pam to relate to her clients. As a child she was called 'a cripple' because she struggled with the physical challenges that followed multiple hip surgeries and debilitating arthritis. Her health problems, however, didn't insulate her from high school bullies. Much to her surprise, it actually attracted them.
Unfortunately, she'd run into other bullies throughout her life, from a violent college roommate and the sorority sisters who hazed her, to a stalker on the streets of Washington D.C. She's faced sexual harassment, racial tensions, and a rocky marriage that ended in divorce.
These challenges were only the beginning of a troubled life that left her broken and disillusioned.
Pam battled with PTSD and severe depression for many years, which is why she's so familial with the devastating and paralyzing effect of emotional turmoil. Fortunately, she's also aware of the amazing power of God's love to heal and restore a broken life.
During a spiritual experience in Hawaii, Pam realized that the Lord was calling her to do ministry work and she began looking for ways to serve.
Pam later witnessed powerful miracles and began to record her experiences, and those of others, in documentaries that she produced. She knew that it would offer hope and encouragement to people who've experienced painful losses and devastating experiences.
Pam was also blessed to discover the joy and healing benefits of creating art.
Now, she offers these same blessings to others in the Academy of Arts and Healing program. The main goal is to help people who're suffering from severe depression and other debilitating conditions through art therapy and a means to gain a source of self-sufficiency.
Pam plans to incorporate an online store to help her clients market their artistic products.
Pam's recently released an E-book about her own experience with depression to help raise funds and awareness of the program.
