THE SPIRIT IN YOU DESIRES AN AUDIENCE!
The Academy of Arts & Healing program is designed to help women who're struggling to overcome painful losses, battles with severe depression and/or traumatic experiences. It is part of RisingStar31 Productions, a ministry and film production company that was formed to create and share inspirational films and documentaries, and facilitate creative art projects that tap into the healing power of God's love. We hope that, by helping build women's faith, we can inspire them to position themselves to experience transforming miracles. Not only that, but discover, nurture and celebrate the creative gifts that are stored within them.
We've also launched the Cottage By the Sea, a special entrepreneurial project that was inspired by the nature of the 'cottage industry' in which we'll train women who've come out of traumatizing experiences, particularly human (sex) trafficking, to create marketable art and home decor products. Internships with our digital art and video production crews will also be available.
Our goal is to help women heal and become the stars that they were born to be. The healing power of the Word of God and the the expression of it through art is immeasurable. When you participate in creating beautiful things, you actually position yourself to tap into an eternal source of healing, renewal and empowerment. Not only are you unlocking some of your greatest gifts, but expressing who you truly are. And no one can take that away from you.
Our motto is based on a Scripture in the Bible: God is love.
So, whatever you do, whatever you create, do it with love. We believe that, to be immersed in the spirit of love, and inspired by it, is to allow yourself to be filled with God's healing power. Our production company is devoted to producing inspiring videos and documentaries that can help facilitate this 'journey.'
In addition, through self-esteem coaching and artistic guidance, we can help women begin the journey to self-discovery and their authentic sense of purpose.
In simple terms, we're here to help women shine like the stars they were meant to be!

Pamela Sherrod, Life Coach, Writer, Producer
"God is Love . . .So, whatever you do, whatever you create, do it with love."
Pamela Sherrod is a spiritual healing and self-esteem coach, writer, documentary producer and women and children's advocate.
She's written several articles and books, including Sammy Davis, Jr.: The Writer Who Saved His Estate. She also published The Witness to Hollywood and Heaven and wrote and produced the documentary called The Witness to Miracles and Angels, which was hosted by actor, Geoffrey Owens, from The Cosby Show.
Pam's had the opportunity to work in several different fields where she's acquired a wide range of experience. She began her career as a Congressional Intern, and later, a staff assistant in U.S. Senator Lowell Weicker's Office. Then, she worked as a news assistant at ABC News, helping produce such shows as Nightline, World News Tonight and This Week with David Brinkley.
Although Pam's worked with many celebrities, she says that, "Everyone was born to shine like a star." And she gets a great deal of joy from helping them accomplish that.
After a long battle with her health, a troubled marriage and a very turbulent life, she had a spiritual experience in Hawaii that completely changed her world. She found Jesus Christ and realized that she wanted to do ministry work.
She suffered a setback, however, when she left Oahu for a job that was offered to her by a powerful businessman. She learned a painful lesson that opened her eyes to the problems of sexual harassment and the pressures that many women face in the work world.
Pam, who'd once provided counseling and other services to women in a Crisis Intervention program, had now experienced her own personal crisis. To this day, she still has a scar on her chin from that eye-opening season, and it inspires the work that she holds most dear, advocacy for women in trouble.
This would also help shape Pam's relationship with Mrs. Sammy Davis, Jr., whom she met in 2006. Pam was introduced to Altovise Davis to help write her autobiography. What she discovered, however, was that the famous Rat Pack wife was another woman in crisis.
In fact, there was nothing left of the glamorous world that Altovise Davis had once enjoyed. When Sammy Davis Jr. died, he left his widow with a debt of over $5 million dollars (which was the highest tax lien in the country) and a nightmarish rags-to-riches-to-rags experience.
Altovise was a broken woman who needed to heal before they attempted to write her book. She also needed to summon the courage and take the steps needed to save her husband's estate.
The two women began writing stories and screenplays that were geared toward children and young adults.
Working closely with Altovise, Pam helped her tap into the creative gifts that she'd never developed. During this process, the two women formed a strong bond of trust and it would eventually play a vital role in the legal battle over the Sammy Davis Jr. Estate.
With Pam's coaching and assistance, Altovise began to stand up for her legal rights against former partners who were trying to seize control of Sammy's estate.
